Coffee Date

>> Friday, September 25, 2009

I just got back from the most lovely afternoon coffee date with a sweet friend I haven't seen in years! :)

I was in a rush for lunch so I just munched on a Tropical Fruit Tart Larabar and a gala apple.

Danielle met me over at my apartment (technically the first friend to see our new space -- we need more friends in Gainesville!) and we walked over to the Starbuck's next door where I got a tall soy chai latte.

Thanks for all of your suggestions earlier! From the words of the beautiful, knowledgeable and vegan Ryan: the white chocolate mocha, pumpkin spice and caramel syrup all have milk in them. Thanks Ryan!

Now, I have to tell you all - I thrive on social connections. I truly do. Maybe that's why I love blogging so much? And while significant others/ guys are great, there's nothing like a good girl talk. Danielle and I had some great conversation - mostly wedding related. :) While she's not engaged yet, there's a 99.9% chance she will be soon! So we had a ball talking about wedding ideas on a budget, one of my favorite topics! She asked me at the end: "have you ever considered being a wedding planner?" lol ummm yes. But how to get into it? Anywho.

I just grabbed this half of a carrot muffin when I got back in. Quite tasty - expect the recipe tomorrow morning.

Must skeedaddle and get some more stuff done! See you tonight for my favorite kind of night - Pizza Night!! :)

What are you favorite or most unique additions to pizza, particularly vegan additions? Maybe tonight will be a blogger-inspired pizza. ;)

I'm so glad to know which syrups contain milk, thank you! I hear you on girl time, I couldn't live without it :)

I had no idea those syrups contain milk! I feel deceived! I've totally had a pumpkin spice latte since I gave up dairy!!!

I love the usual peppers, onions, mushrooms, spinach, and tomatoes on pizza... but recently I added sweet potatoes and they were delicious! I bet butternut squash would be good too!

My pizza HAS to have an abundance of roasted garlic.

Not really unusual but I love olives on my pizza.

Glad you had a good chat with your friend. You'd make a great wedding planner!

Aw girl talk is ALWAYS a fun thing. My girls and I do it all the time whether the guys are around or not - it's funny when the guys try to throw in something to the convo ;)

PINEAPPLE!!! It's my favorite pizza topping!

Glad to know those syrups contain milk! I'm not vegan but I know others who are and I'd hate to steer them in the wrong direction.
