What Do You Get at Starbucks?

Good morning world! Happy Friday!

Breakfast this morning was a repeat of yesterday's - flax flakes, Berry Almond Granola and soymilk.

This was actually a silly breakfast, because I was in a baking mood last night and actually made some healthy carrot muffins last night for breakfasts and such. When am I not in a baking mood? Baking is so therapeutic to me. Guess you'll just have to wait to see these delicious little muffins and their recipe later this weekend! ;)

Ok - thoughts on Grey's last night. Definitely full of drama. But ya know? The show has changed so much. I first discovered the show before I went to college and liked it before it was popular. It was simple, it was good tv, it wasn't near as raunchy, and it was enjoyable. Now it's just packed with an absurd amount of unrealistic drama and the show is so different. I stopped watching for awhile, not totally sure why I started watching again, and I'm pretty sure I won't be centering my Thursday evenings around it. It looks like the show is going in a whole new direction, and it's just not what it was years ago. (Such is true with life right? Except this is a tv show and I can just decide not to go along for the ride). :D

Calling all Starbucks lovers! I have a date with an old friend at Starbucks this afternoon. I haven't been in ages, so what are some of your favorite (vegan-friendly) options at Starbucks?

i never get starbucks food. I see starbuckd as a place for drinks only. If you want any info about drinks I advise Tazo Tea :)

i will never watch greys again. i watch it last night and the whole time, i kept thinking "OMG this is so stupid." it's such a waste of my mental energy.

NiamhNIMROD - I should have specified, I'm looking for drink suggestions. :) I'm eating lunch beforehand to save money (and it'll just be easier). Thanks!

Caitlin - yeah, I kept thinking "oh grey's...how you've changed". It's just too much nonsense.

I agree regarding Grey's- the first season Meredith was so loveable, but the past few seasons, blah.

I get a soy chai tea latte at starbucks...I'm pretty sure it's vegan!

I didn't watch Grey's last night... I've become really frustrated with the show. I think it's a waste of time now :( It's a shame, because it used to be so good!

Baking is my therapy as well! However, I have to have the kitchen completely empty. If I'm in a mood and someone talks to me while I'm baking...it's bad news!

I enjoyed the first season of Grey's but The Office is on at 9 and I'm in love with Jim ;)

Vegan options? Hmm their awake tea is reaaaally good! I get a Venti and its strong but I love a good kick in the pants from it :)

I'm with Caitlin. I think they ruined Grey's. It's just too ridiculous.

Ha I didn't see Greys last night but looks like I wasn't really missing out! I'm a big fan of the soy chai tea latte and the soy pumpkin spice latte! I get the regular soy latte a lot, too. I keep packets of stevia at my desk for that!

I was so upset about Grey's last night too! I feel like the show is ruined for me. I just wanted to enjoy it so bad.

Soy pumpkin spice latte!

I started watching Grey's in high school (pilot episode!) and it has definitely changed over the years. I totally missed it last night and forgot to set the DVR, so I'll be catching up later I guess.

I always get a soy latte of sorts. Whether it be one of their tea lattes (yum!) or a decaf flavored latte, I love them! I usually go for vanilla, toffee nut or hazel nut. Just make sure you don't get the white chocolate mocha, pumpkin spice or caramel syrup--they have milk.

I got through half of Grey's--still need to watch the 2nd half this weekend! But uh oh...doesn't sounds too good!

I watched it last night and I completely agree with you. I am beginning to think it will be a waste of my Thursday nights. Enter: The Office instead!!

I always get a latte with 2 pumps pumpkin spice, I am not sure if it is vegan-friendly or not? Perhaps if you use soymilk. I'm not sure! Have fun at your coffee date!

I would go for a soy chai, a vanilla roobios tea latte unsweetened with soy, or a pumpkin spice soy latte. All are YUMMY!

Sarah W. September 25, 2009 12:45 PM

this mornings breakfast was a venti green tea and perfect oatmeal - vegan deliciousness!

normally i get the soy chai tea latte :)

Today I just got a soy latte. I have heard that their syrups are not vegan? Let me know if you find out for sure. I was getting pumpkin spice lattes (soy) but if the syrups not vegan I may have to rethink that.

I am afraid to admit it, but I enjoyed Grey's. But this is coming from a person who watches The Real World, haha. I understand why you didn't care for it though!
